After all the hand wringing and cursing...
It all worked out alright. Michigan finally moves out of the 1970's offensively. Good times.

Actually it's a return to the 1970s
When Michigan offensively (Don Nehlen, Bo Schembechler and Jerry Hanlon) actually used misdirection, buck traps, pulling guards, counter plays, option, and passes off the option play.  But probably most significant will be the fact that Rodriguez's ystem is going to be a major shock to the current returning players because Barwis is going to have them leaner, faster and meaner than UM fans have seen their team play in a long, long time - maybe ever.
Some of the current players may end up quitting. It will be that bad.  But if you're going to run for 400 yards a game and do it no huddle, there's no other way.  To me the most refreshing change is just the fact that defensive coordinators around the Big Ten (and the nation) will actually have to prepare like mad before facing Michigan.

Somebody check the lights on the scoreboard and make sure every one is working!

Go Blue!

Rita Rodriguez
I wonder if the the new coach's wife Rita, might be a little too hot for the Ann Arbor "fem" crowd. Hee hee hee! I can see the new t-shirts that say, "Our coach's wife is hotter than your coach's wife". Tsk tsk!
