Steven Threet Injured his Elbow Before Halftime

From the Ann Arbor News:

In the second half, Sheridan took over at quarterback for Threet, who suffered an elbow injury before halftime.

Before people lose their minds over Michigan's loss to Toledo and call for people's heads because Sheridan was in the game instead of Threet, the official line is Threet got injured. Everyone please take a deep breath. Now come in off the ledge. It may get worse before it gets better, but it will get better.

a few things hard to deal with

1. Watching the losses and the crummy play. I get rebuilding, I get the transition to a new coach and entirely new system, and on every day except Saturday, I’m OK with it. Actually watching it sucks.

2. This team would undeniably be better at this moment with Lloyd Carr.

3. Morgan Trent’s alleged coverage.

4. A team totally devoid of leadership, a point brought up by Charissa Thompson.

I also loved Ezeh’s “we’re at a crossroads right now” comment, as well as Sheridan’s “I need to be more accurate.” 2-4 and a home loss to a bad MAC team is not a crossroads. You done crossed the road, buddy. And yes, it would help to not go 8-for-16 with two picks.

But Sam McGuffie? Count me in.

well technically

If you count the picks he was 10-16…

I agree with you, this team has actually regressed and regressed badly over the last two games. Everyone is waiting for someone else to make a play. the only guy doing it is McGuffie, and he got hurt at he end of the game for it.

I’ve written this year off. That’s all you can do. I’m still watching the games and cheering for my team, but my expectations have been tempered with reality. This is not a good team.

Hung Over

(I thought I posted this earlier. If it double-posts somehow, I apologize).

It’s Sunday night and I don’t feel much better than I did when I wrote this. It will get better. But it’s going to take a really long time. Dave, I appreciate your ability to stay positive.
