Jeeze. This is news no one ever wants to receive confirmation of. Michigan junior and Defenseman for the hockey was hospitalized in the early hours of Monday morning following an assault and battery by a fellow student. The Michigan Daily is reporting that the perpetrator of the assault was Michigan Senior and walk-on running back Mike Milano.

Kampfer will be out an indefinite period of time recovering from what is reported as a cracked skull and fractured vertebrae. No word yet whether charges have been filed against Milano or any other person responsible for the attack.
