Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

The Game Will Not Be Televised

Unless you have ESPNU.  Yes, you there in Iowa, you're the one who gets it.  Congratulations.  The rest of us will not get the Michigan vs. Maryland game on any normal network tonight.

Anyone with any suggestions on how to view this game on anything better than "hitting refresh on ESPN.com" please leave a comment.

ESPNU

I had it at one time. Had ESPN Classic channel, 2. Comcast took all that away from me. Now I am the boy with no shoes or socks who is thinking about robbing that rich boy who has both.

Cumcast. sucks.

Not even ESPN360

Luckily enough I have satellite with ESPNU. Normally they would stream the game on ESPN360, but apparently not this game. I guess there were too many other good games on their docket. That’s a shame since anyone with a Michigan email/login account gets 360.

Really?

How does that work? Does it still work if I have access to my old (circa 1994-99) umich account?

The university has access to espn360, so if you sign in on the VPN as “on-campus wireless,” espn360 reads your computer to be one that can use their service. As long as you can sign into stuff still, I think it should work. Its also worth noting that you can also access IPTV through the VPN. IPTV is a collection of 6-7 channels streamed online by the university. The selection is small, but it was the only way I could watch BigTen Network last year. They also stream CSTV (CBS College Sports), CNN, Comedy Central, ABC 7 Detroit, Bloomberg News, Science Channel, USA, and MTV2.

Online options

ESPN360
I haven’t looked at the schedule of ESPN360 but that’s how I was planning to watch it. I hope formerlyanon is mistaken.

justin.tv and channelsurfing.net are both good options for online streaming video. I can’t tell if either of them will actually have the game though.

Didn't want

justin.tv streamed the games that were on ESPNU at the beginning of the season, FWIW. I don’t think 360 is going to have it.

Like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.

Watch it from the comfort of your crib in the deuce

Not to sound like a commerical but ESPNU is availabe in the ann arbor area through ATT Universe (cable provider) – it comes as basic option! No need for the computer.
