Founded in 1971 by two University of Michigan graduates, a single bookstore has grown into an international conglomerate. Borders' first store is located in Ann Arbor and covers most of a city block. With stores all over the world, Borders is a testament to What Michigan grads are capable of. #58 in our Countdown and Reason #58 to Love Ann Arbor.
