Indianapolis Gets the First Big Ten Championship Game in 2011
Ugh. Not happy about this. Look, Indianapolis is a festering hole fine City with loads of curches nightlife, so I'm not going to let my obvious Chicago-Centric Midwestern chauvinism show too much, but I'm a little disappointed.
Think about it people. Soldier Field. Outdoors. November/December weather. SNOW! That's how the Big ten Championship should be decided. This isn't Florida, we play football in real football weather. Championship games have become so pre-packaged, squeaky clean, boring affairs that the prospect of a real BIG TEN FOOTBAW!!! showdown in the elements had me really excited. Sadly, it's not to be. Indianapolis will host the inaugural Big Ten Championship game. I supposed ithas something to do with the City hosting the 2012 Super Bowl or something a couple of weeks later, so that might have played into it a little... I guess.
