All the predictions: Optimism vs Negativity
Like the rest of you, I read about Michigan football ALL the time. I read pretty much all the blogs, espn, news sites, etc...
I know which ones to take seriously, which ones are for fun, and who doesn't know shit. I still read all of them. I am addicted. This year, the guesses range from 2-10 to 10-2. I guess the reason I am writing this is my frustration with a few things. It is expected that some bloggers will have oversights. I am seeing a lot of this one though, and it bothers me.
Michigan has no chance to beat Notre Dame in South Bend
WHAT? Based on what facts?
The way I see it, they have little chance against us! Sure they will score some points on us, but HOW ARE THEY GOING TO STOP US...and HOW THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO OUTSCORE US?
But what do we know about having a new QB and a new system anyway?
So here is the question: "What 2010 Michigan predictions have your blood boiling?"
Like any of it will matter when the 2011 squad wins the B10...and the 2012 squad wins the BCS championship...

My favorite assinine prediction
Is that Rodriguez HAS to win 8 or 9 games to keep his job. Dave Brandon has come out and said point blank wins and losses will have little to do with rodriguez’ future at Michigan. So long as Michigan is on the right track he’s happy. It galls me that these asshole msm writers just make this stuff up that Rich HAS to win a certain number of games. No. That’s not how it works. Rich has to show improvement. So long as this Team improves, Michigan’s future is in good hands.

Yeah he seems to have a lot of outs to be honest. If he gets to a bowl—even with no big wins—that’s progress. If he beats one of the better teams, even with 5-6 wins, that’s progress. And obviously there is the Ohio State game, which to be honest I’m not even sure he has to win. Keep that one close against a team with wildly high expectations and you could argue progress there, as well.
The more I think about it he’s safer than it seems. I do think no bowl and no big wins = cya, though.
Humbly
I stand corrected. This is a close game….(Now in 4th) I know that the Wolverines aren’t totally back yet, but I thought we were further along than ND.
Maybe if we could make a field goal…
