How bout them Wolverines!!
After a long off-season of drama, transfers, injuries, and concerns, Michigan looked impressive in their home opener beating UConn 30-10. Denard Robinson looks like a new QB who has settled into Rich Rod's offense quite nicely. Robinson finished off the day with 186 yards passing, 197 yards rushing, and a passing and rushing TD. He was very efficient going 19 for 22 passing the ball. The defense played well, although I still have many concerns on defense. Obi Ezeh looks like he is going to have a bounce back year. Go Blue!!

Defense
still concerned about that secondary. there were a lot of gaps in the zones and we got lucky with a combo of bad and dropped passes. still uconn threw 37 times for about 200 yards so thats not awful. offense was really looking good though. running it all over the fiel;d i will take the nice win and look forward to the battle with ND

i agree. . .
had we not recovered that fumble on 4th down in the redzone, who knows how things would have turned out. . .i was pleased with the d-line and our secondary is a big concern. . .UConn did drop alot of passes. . .ND looked good today but not great. . .next week should be a great game. . .Go Blue!!
Actually, that play wasn’t luck, it was excellent defense. Everyone got their man, Obi beat his man off the block allowing a lane for Floyd to fly in and put his helmet on the ball. Beautiful defense. Let’s see if they can keep it up.
As a casual observer who appreciates UM tradition..........
I have to say Denard Robinson was amazing……..I hope they dont plan on running him 30 times a game every game……….but darn if that kid isnt something special……Best of luck Wolverines.

thanks for your sentiment. . .
Rich Rod made a comment about not even realizing Robinson’s carry total was that high until he read the post game stat sheet. . .I would imagine Robinson’s carries will be monitored closer in upcoming weeks. . .but you are right, he looked like something special today. . .
I wont celebrate until we start beating Big Ten opponents
Also, teams with good run defenses are going to take away Denards running ability. I hope he can still make those passes once we face the penn states and ohio states of the world.
agreed
Gotta look at the positives.
I’m not ignoring the concerns, but man, it was a fun day.
