How fitting is it for Brandon that scenes from movie Jerry Maguire were filmed here?

So David Brandon's heading to the OC, eh?

Look. Don't panic. Lane Kiffin has a rock solid contract with USC, so he's not going to be interviewed.

But Brady Hoke just might be in Orange County, CA right now trying to recruit some football players for San Diego State this week. Hmmmm... maybe meet up with Mr. Brandon for a nice, private steak dinner at Morton's in Santa Ana?

Well that's one thing I've noticed

We always seem to be a good laugh for everyone else with the number of coaches turning us down.

Granted, our program isn’t strong right now but we’re in a good conference, tradition is rich, academics is strong, we still put out NFL picks… what am I missing? Do these coaches want to take a program only if they know they can have instant success? Is DB low balling them on salaries?

Oceanside High School

is a main pipeline school for SDSU as well as some of the OC programs (Mission Viejo, etc.) It’s north of San Diego city quite a ways near Pendelton Marine Base, but Flying to Santa Ana JWA makes sense if they were to meet up.

Oh what am I saying. Brady will probably be waiting at the freaking gate for Dave.

If Hoke was originally the most wanted, fine.

But Brandon going home on the plane last night and joking with reporters tells me that he has no clue what he’s doing.

Please God, just let this end… aka hire Hoke and hope he doesn’t become RichRod version 2.

I hope I win the presser tickets

and I hope I get to ask a question, so I can express my support for Hoke, and ask DB when Mary Sue can expect his letter of resignation due to the fact that he needlessly burned 6 weeks of crucial transition time by sticking to his “evaluation” schedule. Oh, and see if Denard will sign a football or a jersey for me, before he officially transfers.

One of the reasons he came to Michigan was because of RR and the spread offense.
