(break in Brady Hoke stuff)
With a total of 470 points, buoyed by his lock pick of Auburn (a cool 200 points), the winner of the first annual BYCAPE is... yours truly. The post that is my victory lap is upcoming, don't you worry.
No one else doubled their money on Auburn - which would have vaulted a few of you past me and into eternal glory. Anyway, I'm truly honored.
However, because winning my own contest feels real hollow, and I'm arrogant enough, I'm going to give up my extraordinarily well-earned throne. The winner of this year's Brewski, to be awarded whenever one of us feels like writing another Brewski, is McCann Black, who finished a mere 10 points behind your glorious leader. Special recognitions to Darth Prophet for nearly being disqualified and your MnB Staff who needed to be coerced into playing (after looking at how they finished, I can see why).
Thank you all for playing - for me, at least, it was a welcome distraction from all the coaching talk. It's user participation that makes this site what it is - and you guys are all winners in that sense. Except those of you who lost.
Final standings attached. My math is most likely wrong, so someone put me out of my misery/gloating.
*kshtttt* you may return to your brady hoke *kshttt*
Start getting ready for next December, folks. You could use the prep time.
