According to Adam Rittenberg over at ESPN, Tate Forcier is considering transfers to the FBS Miami Hurricanes, Washington Huskies, Baylor Bears, San Diego St. Aztecs, Middle Tenn. St. Blue Raiders, or New Mexico Lobos, as well as FCS Montana, South Carolina State and Florida A&M. Apparently rumors of Tate's academic dismissal also have another side. Where Brandon said that Forcier was no longer with the team, Mike Forcier (Tate's dad) stated the following:
"He could've used different words, but the new sheriff sent the media into a frenzy," Michael Forcier said last week. "Tate didn't flunk out, but he had two incomplete grades. If he was given a chance by at least one professor to make up the work and get a grade, he would be eligible."
Sigh.
It's really too bad things didn't work out at Michigan for Tate. We've had discussions about this and it's readily apparent that the sophomore quarterback was a truly polarizing figure. I don't think that's what the kid wanted, but that's just how the cookie crumbled. My hope is that he ends up at a school where his talents will be better applied and that he finds an environment that allows him to continue his maturation process.
Good luck Tate. I hope it works out for you.
