J.T. Floyd = Underrated
Am I the only one that has noticed the impressive play of CB J.T. Floyd? Outside of Jordan Kovacs, he's probably been the most consistent player on the defensive side of the ball. Floyd played a major role in the biggest win of the season thus far against Notre Dame when he was given the assignment of slowing down WR Michael Floyd in the 2nd half, in which he did. Honestly, Floyd has been playing at this type of consistency over the past two seasons and I think he deserve some recognition for it. I read and agree with all of the much deserved acclaim about freshman CB Blake Countess lately, but Floyd is the anchor when it comes to coverage in the secondary. Dare I say, 'almost' shutdown!

Michael Floyd
Are you talking about the guy who caught 13 catches for 159 yards in that game?
You can say whatever you want, you’ll just look like an idiot.
What would Yzerman do?
Obviously...
you didn’t pay attention to the fact that Michigan pretty much took Michael Floyd out of the game in the 2nd half with J.T. Floyd being the primary corner lining up across from him. J.T. also did a pretty good job against B.J. Cunningham today. He’s became a more than solid coverage CB lately.

That's true but
JT was matched up against Michael in the first half as well. You can’t pick and choose which data set to look at. That’s just like the RR lovers who completely neglected the Defensive side of the ball, no?
What would Yzerman do?
You're right,...
J.T. Floyd did occasionally match up with Michael Floyd in the 1st half, but most of the damage was against Courtney Avery & Troy Woolfolk. J.T. is quickly becoming a NFL-worthy CB. He was also having a solid season last year under Rich Rodriguez before the injury as well.

his performances
remind me of Morgan Trent – coverage was never good enough to have any PBUs or INTs, but a lot of tackles.
I believe that Michigan football will not merely endure: it will prevail.
I have to disagree
…because Morgan Trent used to get caught on every other play. Trent was the prequel to Boubacar Cissoko.
