Arizona Hires Rich Rodriguez
Former Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez gets a second chance at coaching in a BCS conference, replacing Mike Stoops at Arizona. I, for one, wish Rodriguez all the best and hope he does well in Tucson.

I also hope Coach Rodriguez does well in the desert, if he can do as well offensively there as he has everywhere else he has coached, that should go a long way to improving fan interest in the program. I know Coach Hoke says its our goal to win a national championship every year, but kicking the crap out of Arizona in the Rose Bowl would be a nice consolation prize.
and you guys thought
Brady Hoke vs San Diego State would be awkward.

Seconded
I really hope Rodriguez excels at ‘Zona. He’s a good human being and a decent coach.
Good luck coach. We’ll be rooting for you here.

I actually thought Rodriguez was a horrible fit at Michigan
but Arizona seems perfect for him. It doesn’t have anywhere near the same demands (11-1 season or bust) or ideals steeped in tradition. Michigan is a great program that does well with the right kind of guy (Brady Hoke), but it wasn’t a good fit for Rodriguez. He should be able to succeed at Arizona.
