Joe Lunardi Places Michigan in NCAA Tournament

ESPN Blog

Just saw in a late night ESPN haze tonight: after Michigan's road win against the Golden Gophers, Joe Lunardi has us in as one of the last 4 teams in to the NCAA Tourney.

Obviously this is great news. Lunardi is very rarely wrong with his projections, and right now a win vs. Michigan State puts us at 9-9, on par with Beauford's projection to get us into the tournament. Considering that it seemed like Michigan was a longshot to get in at the time of that piece's writing (even the hometown blog that M&B is voted for us to miss the tournament by a resounding majority), it is easy to say that we are in a much better position now than we were 3 weeks ago. All we have to do now is pull out that win against Sparty on Saturday, and we are on the fast track to the NCAA's, barring a disastrous beatdown in the BTT. Conversely, a loss against MSU would hurt our tourney chances severely, but a good showing in the BTT could put us back in.

After three weeks and a 4-2 record, has your opinion changed? Are we now an NCAA Tournament team?
