Go Blue Wolverine has just reported that Kyle Kalis has committed to the University of Michigan Wolverines. This seems extraordinarily sweet for some reason? Could it be the OSU connection. LOL! Ican be so catty some times. "According to sources close to the Lakewood(OH) St. Edward star, while on his unofficial visit to Ann Arbor, the five-star lineman gave the Michigan staff the jolting news moments ago that he will indeed join Strobel in Maize & Blue. This comes just weeks after he officially rescinded his commitment from the Buckeyes..." GO BLUE!!!

It would be great regardless

but I think the fact that he switched over from Ohio State is icing on the cake. Here’s to hoping that it leads to other Ohio recruits giving the Buckeyes the middle finger.

A lot hinges on whether or not we can win this year though. Even after the Buckeyes inevitably receive their punishment from the NCAA, we’ll still have to put up wins to continue to sway Ohio recruits. If we finish below .500, I can’t picture convincing many Ohioans to follow suit. If we do win though, we may only be a couple of strong recruiting years away from returning to the promised land.

That is the Question

Too many fans think that because we have a coach that is showing all right moves and OSU has already been hurt and is still facing an uncertain future, we are assured a great year this year. We are guaranteed nothing. That is, nothing but Hoke’s assurance we will be more physical and will play with more intensity. We certainly are in need of that!!

We still have to see how well the team soaks up what they are being taught. And OSU will still be strohg, just not the monster they have been. They will have a huge chip on their collective shoulders.

"I don't expect to win enough games to be put on NCAA probation. I just want to win enough to warrant an investigation." Bob Devaney, Saginaw native, Alma College Grad ('39), oh, and he did some stuff at Nebraska (11 seasons Head Coach, 101-20-2, 2 National Championships, 26 years as Athletic Director.)
