Going into another season of uncertainty, change, division among the fan base, I can't help but think what will make this upcoming season any different than the past few. Of course, the program as a whole is significantly better now that RichRod is gone, but I think we can all agree that the 2011 Michigan football team would have a much better chance at winning big this season if he was given another year...that still wouldn't change the status of the program, however. Teams in the Big Ten win, and win consistently with solid foundations not only within their coaching staff, but on DEFENSE, SPECIAL TEAMS, AND THE RECRUITING TRAIL. If we were to take a checklist of what RichRod did correctly to consistently win in the Big Ten, we would have to check the box that was labeled "other." Which brings me to my point...I am in love with Brady Hoke, as soon as he pounded the podium at his introduction press conference and called the team down south "Ohio." He didn't stop there, he hired Greg Mattision (not to be confused with Greg Robinson) as his defensive coordinator. He brought along Al Borges, a guy who adapts his offense to the personnel in which he has (who ever thought winning was possible with Threet and Sheridan running the spread should have thrown up immediate red flags that first season). Hoke is currently working on the no. 1, or 2, recruiting class in the country for next season, depending on what website you look at. The guy LOVES Michigan, I LOVE Michigan, All of his former players LOVE him, and I can tell you right now, a few years from now ALL of the Michigan fan base will LOVE him as well. GO BLUE! In HOKE we TRUST.
