"The two things I always notice about defenses is if they're rallying to the ball - because then everyone is on the same page - and if they're hitting you hard. They'll really hit you with everything they've got if they're confident their teammates will have their back if they miss. I didn't see Michigan doing either of those things last year.
Rivals' Mike Spath did something pretty unique recently. He sat down with three of Michigan's 2010 Big Ten opponent and got their unfiltered opinions on the Michigan Defense in 2010. As you can see from the quote above, it ain't pretty. However, there are notes on Mike Martin and Kenny Demens you'll probably find interesting. Sadly, this will more than likely confirm everything you feared you knew about last year's defense.
