Another slow start, but things slowly starting to turn a bit. Couple of thoughts:

1. Denard is forcing the deep ball a tad when he rolls out, it’s almost like he takes an extra beat before he lets it go, this strikes me as a correctable issue as we move forward…

2. If Touissant isn’t healthy, Vincent Smith needs to be on the field

3. Kovacs and Ryan are playing great football, the lines need to wake up earlier in these football games though.

4. We better figure out our kickoff situation QUICK, we can’t let good teams start at the #%# 40-45 every single time.

I love how everyone acts like it some sort of indictment against Michigan's offense when Denard picks up yards...

Agreed, but is performance against EMU really indicative going forward?

The RBs right now are Smith and Touissant until someone else steps up, Smith looks like he did two years ago, just a great all around football player, picks up blocks, solid out of the backfield, and gets the corner.

Too bad we can’t practice him four inches taller. But more of it is just getting them comfortable with the offense – Denard can’t do what he did today against everyone
