If you stuck around CBS after the afternoon game on Sunday you probably caught the 60 minutes report about the big business of college football. Michigan featured prominently in the report with both Dave Brandon, Brady Hoke, and Denard Robinson all being interviewed.
60 Minutes put together a pretty good look at just what kind of place college football has taken in the overall sphere of the college experience -- all the more poignant on a day when rumors surfaced that the Big Ten would be adding two teams that are very removed from the typical idea of Big Ten football.
All in all it is a pretty cool look at Michigan's program and just how much the program is responsible for the financial stability of the rest of the athletic department (and arguably the place the program holds when it comes to fundraising for the school as a whole).
Definitely worth a look if you have yet to check it out. Also, watch the bonus footage below if for nothing else than to hear the story about a man who wanted a mini banner made so that he could hold it up while his wife was giving birth.
Yeah, I'm kind of mad I didn't think of it first.
