Notre Dame Moves to Cancel Series With Michigan after 2014

Matt Cashore-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The end is near.

Looks like Notre Dame is looking to go out on top. The Irish, have moved to end the Michigan series three years earlier. So far the Michigan State and Purdue games on future schedules are untouched.

This is most likely Notre Dame making room for the new schedule as it moves to the ACC -- remember the five ACC game scheduling agreement that is part of the deal. Removing Michigan may well be the only significant schedule change thus far, however, future games against Michigan State and Purdue could be vulnerable as well.

More as we hear it.
