A big win over a bad team produces the expected results.

Michigan is once again the second-highest ranked Big Ten team after Northwestern Northwestern'd its way out of a win at home against the still-third-ranked Buckeyes*.  Michigan won't see any team capable of vaulting its stock until November at the earliest.  Michigan State is hanging just outside the polls behind Wisconsin and Nebraska.  The Big Ten is baaaaad.

*(By Northwestern'd I simply mean: "be up in the fourth quarter of a close game setting the table for yet another heartbreaking loss and more graphic fodder for producers)

Michigan makes a slight move here thanks to the win and once again jumps Northwestern (who is the better team with the better resume, but since when do polls accurately reflect reality?).

Nebraska eeks its way in at the tail end of the poll for yet another week.

If the Big Ten keeps being this bad and beating up on each other I might have to change the name of this feature to "Survivin' It".
