You might be asking me how is this possible? Didn't he just commit to Alabama yesterday? Well if you know anything about the recruiting process, guys break their commitments all the time for many reasons. Let's take a look at a very possible scenario. Say that Nick Saban wins his third straight National Title and fourth overall at Alabama. If you know anything about Saban's track record, he always likes a challenge and doesn't stay in one place too long. The Texas Longhorns are knocking hard on Saban's door and is willing to give him the key to the entire University as well as a ton of money to be their next football coach. Saban, with his tremendous ego may look at the situation and feel like he's accomplished everything he can at Alabama and take the Longhorn job. This will leave his highly rated recruits such as Da'Shawn Hand rethinking their priorities and de-commit and reopen the recruiting process thus opening the door to Ann Arbor. It happens all the time. That's how Michigan lost running back, Dee Hart, to Alabama after Rich Rod got fired. That's how Michigan got Kyle Kalis, who de-committed to Ohio State after Jim Tressel got fired. Anything's possible in the world of college recruiting. Never say never. But until that happens, Michigan should still prepare itself by locking in Malik McDowell who is very talented and work on developing guys they already have like Taco Charlton and Chris Wormley.
