Michigan gets official word from the big guard prospect.
David Dawson was at the same time one of Michigan's biggest recruiters and nearly one of its biggest misses. The guard out of Cass Tech went Blue early as part of Michigan's big February haul, and most of his summer was spent talking up Michigan to other recruits. There is no doubt it was Dawson's love of Michigan and his early bond with Derrick Green that helped Michigan land the five-star running back. However, Dawson began to have wondering eyes only to eventually part ways with Michigan.
He made it back into the class a while back and looks to be one of the most promising offensive line prospects of the 2013 class. He will most likely redshirt and then start challenging for a spot on the two-deep as a RS-Fr.
