McCray could be on his way to backing up Jake Ryan in two years. - Sandra Dukes-US PRESSWIRE
Michigan gets the letter of intent from the Trotwood linebacker.
Mike McCray is probably one of those in-state players that Jim Tressel would have locked up early, but Michigan was able to get in on the linebacker before Ohio State started to show much interest, and he pledge to Michigan. McCray has the size and skills to probably start off at the Sam linebacker spot. There isn't much in the way of depth ahead of him, so after a redshirt year McCray could see a path to playing time. There is also the chance that the coaches use him on special teams early -- a popular destination for linebackers.
