Dawson was the second to last verbal commitment to Michigan's class, and likely the Wolverine's last ditch effort to replace the departed Gareon Conley. However, Dawson has a lot of size and athleticism and could develop into a good secondary player down the road.

A redshirt is most likely in order both for Dawson's physical and mental development. From there, it will be tough, but Dawson's size/speed combo could give him a leg up in the competition against a few of the more experience but smaller members of Michigan's secondary.
