Brady Pallante (Naples, Fla.) is a 2014 defensive tackle who committed to Michigan on April 6.
However, he also holds full-ride offers from both Boston College and Appalachian State, which is something he talked to Maize N Brew about this week.
Boston College
Pallante said he appreciated the offer from Boston College, but prefers the tradition and family atmosphere that Michigan provides him.
“Boston College is a great program,” he said. “But when you compare Michigan and Boston College, it’s pretty obvious how to make the decision here. Michigan just has the better tradition.”
Appalachian State
The 6-foot-1, 278-pound junior received his offer from Appalachian State from someone he is very familiar with.
Appalachian State outside linebackers and special teams coordinator Mark Ivey coached Pallante at Barron Collier High School when the defensive lineman was a freshman and sophomore.
Ivey, who coached at Barron Collier from 2007-11, was the first coach to offer Pallante a scholarship on Feb. 27.
“My head coach my freshman and sophomore year is now at Appalachian State, and I know him really well,” he said. “It was natural to receive an offer from my former coach.”
Pallante is ranked the No. 78 defensive tackle in the 2014 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.
