The Michigan football team won the 2013 Big Ten Helmet Bracket hosted by the Big Ten Network on Wednesday.
Michigan outlasted three rounds of voting and defeated Indiana in the championship round, garnering 77.52 percent of the fan votes.
"Got to hand it to Michigan fans," BTN.com writer Brent Yarina wrote. "The Wolverines trailed Iowa by a wide margin in the Legends Division finals before MGoBlog.com posted a link to the poll in the 11th hour. Michigan fans went to work, and then some. Can’t say Michigan fans aren’t loyal or dedicated."
What does this mean in the grand scheme of things? Absolutely nothing, really. Everyone who watches football understands Michigan has one of the greatest helmet designs in the nation. This fan vote was just another way for BTN.com to keep its readers champing at the bit for football coverage.
Let us see if Michigan will hang a banner inside Michigan Stadium to show off its newest accolade…
