The 1961 Michigan team's season started out well, and then took a tumble. The first game of the year the Wolverines managed to beat a ninth-ranked UCLA team but then the roller coaster took flight and a sixth place conference finish was the result. To compensate for this underwhelming outcome, more touchdowns!
