No Michigan player has had a busier week than offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, as he earned his second preseason watch list honor since Monday.

Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan was named to the 2013 Outland Trophy preseason watch list Thursday.

The award is presented to the nation’s most outstanding interior lineman by the Football Writers Association of America. Former Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel won the award in 2012.

Lewan is one of 10 Big Ten players to be named to the watch list, and he was also named to the Maxwell Award watch list, alongside quarterback Devin Gardner, on Monday. He is the only player from a college in the state of Michigan to be named to the Outland watch list.

The award winner will be announced on the Home Depot College Football Awards show on Dec. 12 on ESPN.

Briefly: No Michigan players were named to the 2013 Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list Thursday – presented to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player by the Charlotte Touchdown Club. Thirteen Big Ten players made the list, including Michigan State’s Max Bullough, Darqueze Dennard, and Marcus Rush.
