Shaun Crawford set his decision date a little over a week ago, and it was figured that he would end up at Michigan. Today, he made it official.
Crawford is a 5'9 170 lbs. corner out of Ohio with offers from Notre Dame, Tennessee, Iowa, MSU, and Penn State. He was down to the Wolverines and Irish, having taken visits to both within the past month, but Michigan has long been considered his leader, and this announcement comes as no surprise.
Considered a four-star across the board, Crawford ranks in 247's Composite top-100 at 89. While he is smaller than the corners Michigan has been placing a premium on recruiting lately, he has a lot of athelticism and could develop into a lock-down corner at the next level.
This is Michigan's fifth commitment for the 2015 class, as Crawford joins WR George Campbell, RB Damien Harris, OL Jon Runyan Jr., and K Andrew David. Michigan could also pick up a sixth commitment if OH safety Tyree Kinnel — another four-star — decides to announce his college choice soon.
