Michigan Impresses Mom
247Sports' Steve Lorenz caught up with Damien Harris' mom ($) to discuss his recent visit to Michigan over the weekend. A major reason why Harris originally committed to the Wolverines was his relationship with former offensive coordinator Al Borges. With Borges no longer in the picture, having Doug Nussmeier picking up where he left off will be incredibly important in securing a long-term commitment from Harris. According to his mother, Nussmeier seems to be impressing.
"Sometimes you get people that you meet for the first time and it feels like you've known them for a long time," she said. "That was Coach Nussmeier. He fits right in with the Michigan staff. We got to sit with him one-on-one and talk for a while to learn more about him and learn about his plans for Michigan going forward. I've talked to him on the phone a few times and have gotten to know him there and break the ice, but this was the first real meeting with him for us and I was really impressed."
By many accounts, Michigan has put themselves in great shape with Harris and could be one the teams that are left standing when it comes time for a commitment.
As always, this is a recruitment to look out for.
Michigan To Offer Pair of Indiana Linebackers Soon?
During Friday's Roundup, I mentioned the possibility of Michigan landing the top three players in the state of Indiana. 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong caught up with ($) Darrin Kirkland Jr and Asmar Bilal after their recent visit to campus. Both are wanting an offer from Michigan and it is very possible that it could be happening soon. Both mentioning that Michigan will be contacting them this week with Bilal adding:
Michigan will automatically catapult straight up their list of top schools if they decide to offer. Though landing the trio will not be an easy task. With Josh Barajas already interested, things could get intriguing for Michigan and the state of Indiana.
Elder Cole Recaps Visit
The father of 2015 in-state prospect Brian Cole spoke with Wiltfong ($) to get his reaction from their visit to Michigan over the weekend. One thing in particular that Cole enjoyed about the visit was the M-Pact Program,
"We got more information on the M-Pact program which was very impressive. I liked that program a lot and so did Brian. It's a great program they have at Michigan and it's about the student and not the athlete and putting them in a position to be successful and that was big for us as a family. We got to see the guys networking with the players and he liked that. If there was anything he pointed out it was that and being taken care of after your football career is over."
Michigan should be in good shape to land Cole when all is said and done. Although there is no timetable for a commitment right now, I expect Michigan to be in the top group of schools.

The Big House Report recently spoke with 2015 defensive lineman Keisean Lucier-South about his recruitment process. From the sounds of things, he is not ready to make a decision any time soon.
"I'm going to wait until (2015's) Signing Day. I don't want to commit early if there are other schools I am still interested in, so I just want to wait until then to see who I like."
Lorenz is reporting that 2016 wide receiver Desmond Fitzpatrick is visiting spring practice today and will also be making a return visit on Thursday.
Michigan could be a big player for Fitzpatrick if they decide to offer the young receiver early.
