Another Visitor Weekend Concludes
The coaching staff hosted some 2015/2016/2017 talent over the weekend in a visit which saw the Michigan basketball team secure at least a share of the Big Ten Championship in their win over Minnesota Saturday night. 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong put together a list of visitors (FREE) with a note on their recruitment.
One of the more interesting visitors on campus was in-state quarterback Alex Malzone from Brother Rice High School. Malzone is a three-star quarterback who currently holds seven offers from predominantly MAC-based schools. Malzone is one name in the long list of quarterbacks who have received some sort of attention from the coaching staff. This weekend was the first time meeting with new offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier. According to Wiltfong, Wake Forest is the current team to beat for Malzone's services (FREE).
"I loved my visit there (to Wake Forest) a couple weeks ago," he said. "I'm going to visit there again soon hopefully. It's going to be tough with baseball
"I'm looking to commit somewhere soon."
You can check out a highlight tape for Malzone, here.
247Sports' Steve Lorenz caught up with a few visitors to get their reactions from over the weekend. Austin Mack ($), Austin Dorris ($) and Todd Sibley Jr ($) all spoke very highly of the Wolverines and what they have to offer.
Mack would like to come back for another visit:
"They want me to come back up again for a spring practice," Mack said. "I'll definitely be making that trip, and they want me to come up for one day of camp this summer as well. I'm already looking forward to my next visit because now I have a foundation of what Michigan is all about. Now I can learn more about how I may fit in there and can get to know the coaching staff better as well."
Dorris enjoyed trying on the jerseys:
"It was a lot of fun to try on the jerseys," he said. "It was just a really cool feeling to put one on and see yourself in one. I also couldn't believe how big the Big House looked even though there was nobody in it. We got to walk through the tunnel and stand around on the field and just soak it all in. It was really an amazing experience."
Sibley Jr had a great day:
"Today was honestly one of the best days I've had in a really long time," he said regarding the visit.

An Offer on the Horizon?
A 2015 running back might be seeing a Michigan offer in the near future. Mon Denson, currently unranked, has appeared on Michigan's radar recently and the ball has been rolling towards an offer. Denson spoke with Lorenz about his recent discussion with the coaching staff (FREE).
"I should be talking to Coach Funk soon as well," he said. "I think they just wanted to make sure I was actually interested in Michigan before they put forth in offer. I just sent them my transcripts so I am waiting to hear back before things move forward."
Denson currently holds 10 offers from the likes of Tennessee and North Carolina.
A highlight tape for Denson can be found below:

2015 four-star tight end Hale Hentges is another recruit who has seen his recruitment blow up as of late. 247Sports' Kipp Adams spoke with Hentges (FREE) about his commitment. Hentges does hold a Michigan offer but it will be tough to pull him out of the South.
