Mario Ojemudia Out for the Season with Achilles Injury

7

After suffering an Achilles injury against Maryland on Saturday, senior defensive end and BUCK linebacker Mario Ojemudia will miss the rest of the 2015 season, Jim Harbaugh confirmed at his press conference on Monday.

Ojemudia had played well this season with 19 tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks on what has been one of the best defenses in the nation. It's a disappointment to see his season and career -- he won't be eligible for a medical redshirt -- to end on this note.

Royce Jenkins-Stone will fill in as the starting BUCK, and Lawrence Marshall likely will see more time as the No. 2 option there. Michigan needs them to play well and disciplined on the edge as Northwestern has a dual-threat quarterback in Clayton Thorson that can be dangerous.
