Michigan hosted 2017 3-star RB Mike Epstein (St. Thomas Aquinas, FL) for a visit on Wednesday. Epstein is currently an Illinois commit, but after his Michigan visit, UM is gaining ground on the illini.
"It was an awesome visit," he said. "I me the whole staff, toured around, stayed in for a RB meeting and had an academic meeting."
Epstein had the opportunity to meet Michigan's entire staff, and they had a lot to tell Epstein.
"(The staff) said they loved my film. Meeting the whole staff was great," he said. "They said Michigan is my home."
Epstein has good connections in Ann Arbor, too. Former QB Jake Rudock, and current QB John O'Korn, went to Aquinas, Epstein's high school. They spoke prior to his visit, then got the chance to meet on Wednesday after his visit.

Epstein is an Illinois commit, but Michigan is gaining steam after a successful visit.
"The school is beautiful, and I got good vibes from the team," he said. "I really loved the coaches. I felt the love."
Epstein confirmed that Michigan gained steam after his visit.
"It's a great place," he said. "Michigan made a big jump."
Expect an official visit from Epstein during the season. Epstein missed his junior season with injury, so expect his senior season to take his stock straight up.
