Hoke on Ray Vinopal: "Ray decided to go back Youngstown. That issue's more a family issue."

Sigh. There have been rumors about this for a little while now but unfortunately they appear to be true. Hoke confirmed today that Ray Vinopal is no longer with the Michigan Football team. Hoke also confirmed that Vinopal is leaving Michigan for family reasons, another thing rumored over the last week. We wish ray all the luck in the world and hope this move helps him to acheive his goals. You'll always be a Michigan man to us kid. Good luck. HT: Mgo

Recap: MICHIGAN BEATS ILLINOIS! 7:38 left, Michigan down a lot. Go to pub. Refresh GameCast 25 minutes later, dejectedly, and then see Michigan up 59-55. Rejoice. Text Dave. Response: "Illinois went ice cold and starts getting into the paint. Smotrycz nailed a critical three. Some buckets were made in transition and Morris kinda took over. Then michigan got the lead with 1 left when Hardaway took a "NOOOOOYES!" Three that found nothing but net.

The strongest words on Tresselgate aren't coming from the national media or opposing fans. No, they're coming from Ohio State's student daily newspaper, The Lantern. They're calling for his termination.

Despite warnings from the NFLPA, there are players on the Eagles who are financially ill-equipped for the looming lockout. Brandon Graham is not one of those people. Thanks to a first-round contract that reportedly guarantees him $14 million, as well as the guidance of a trustworthy management team, the former Michigan Wolverine is set up for long-term wealth despite short-term hurdles. This makes him attractive to the needy and the greedy seeking some liquid – including his own teammates. By Graham’s count, at least two fellow Eagles have asked him for substantial loans to get them through the lockout. The most he’s gotten hit up for? "100K," said Graham. "They try not to make it awkward. They’ll come to you like they’re joking, but they’re serious. They’re trying to feel you out, to see what you’ll say." Graham always has the same reply: No.

Brandon Graham will not tolerate your financial stupidity. Great to see the Michigan Man doing what's right for his family The Philadelphia Sports Journal knocks this story on the potential NFL lock-out out of the park.

It just pisses me off that Michigan got to that. We can't let that happen because at the end of the day, this is about Michigan, period. It's not about the coach, it never should be, or will be. And for us to be a fractured program, that's embarrassing to the memory of Yost and Crisler and Schembechler.

Brady Hoke's response to Bob Wojnowski's question "It's well-documented how fractured Michigan was during Rich Rodriguez's three seasons. Is that part of your task, pulling it together? How will you do it?" Brady Hoke is awesome. Check out the whole interview here
