The Orange Bowl matchup between the Michigan Wolverines and Florida State Seminoles is proving to be one of the hottest tickets of the entire bowl season.
Actually, make that the entire bowl and playoff season.
According to TickPick, a secondary ticket marketplace, Friday’s game now has an average price of $375.
That average is almost $150 more expensive than it was last year, when the Orange Bowl was a College Football Playoff semifinal:
Right now, 11 percent of all Orange Bowl ticket orders are coming from the state of Michigan, while 45 percent are coming from Florida.
So as expected, the Seminoles may get a pretty nice home-field advantage in Miami.
As we noted last week, the game is also more expensive than this year’s Fiesta Bowl, which is a semifinal game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Clemson Tigers.
Not only is this going to be a great, highly anticipated matchup, Miami is a nice place to be this time of year.
