Spring break trips may be coming to an end in college football, but that does not mean Jim Harbaugh and Michigan aren’t down for some vacation fun.
According to a report from The Wolverine ($), Michigan may spend the last week of spring football in Rome.
As in Rome, Italy.
The report points out that the team would spend a week of their spring practices in Rome before giving an opportunity of staying overseas for a study abroad program. Should this trip go through, an open practice would possibly take the place of a traditional spring game at the Big House.
Power Five conferences ruled on Friday to ban any off-campus practices during university-sanctioned vacation time.
Michigan’s spring break runs from Feb. 25 to Mar. 5, which does not fall under the NCAA ban with this proposed trip.
