In our first interview with four-star running back Eno Benjamin (TX), he told us about his long time Michigan fandom, and how he can be the guy Michigan needs.
Fast forward almost two months, and Benjamin has developed a great relationship with running backs Coach Tyrone Wheatley.
"I am the different breed (coach Wheatley) is looking for," he said. "(Wheatley) told me not to look the other way yet."
Michigan has three running back commits in the 2017 class, and it's only April. However, could a fourth be possible? Benjamin says that the Wolverines do consider him a take should he commit to the program.
"(Michigan) wants me to line up in the back field and the slot. They want me isolated in open space," he said. "Those are words from (Jim) Harbaugh and (Tyrone) Wheatley."
Benjamin also said that he and Wheatley would be speaking "pretty soon," as the coach was on vacation last week, according to Benjamin.
Five-star LB Baron Browning is also out of Texas, and Benjamin happens to know Browning pretty well.
"Baron (Browning) is one of my best friends, and he's high on (Michigan) too," he said. "(A visit together) is something that we will have to work out in the future."
Benjamin is set to announce his decision on April 18th.
