Michigan Football Recruiting: '15 LB Darrin Kirkland Jr plans to enroll early at Michigan, per report


According to 247Sports' Steve Lorenz, 2015 LB commit Darrin Kirkland Jr has signed his financial aid agreement with Michigan and plans to enroll early.

The 4-star LB is ranked as the sixth-best ILB in the '15 class according to 247 composite rankings.

According to the New England Patriots beat writer Eric Scalavino, former Michigan WR Jeremy Gallon has been removed from the PUP list (Physically Unable to Perform) and is participating in full pads for the first time with the team.

Gallon was a seventh round draft pick for the Patriots in the 2014 NFL Draft.

According to MLive's Nick Baumgardner, the pretrial hearing for suspended Michigan receiver Csont'e York is pushed back to Sept 8.

York was suspended by Michigan coach Brady Hoke for "failing to meet team standards." The status of his return will be determined at a later date.

Michigan Football Recruiting: UM target Keisean Lucier-South receives fifth star from Rivals, listed at OLB


Rivals released their new top 100 recruit list before the high school football season began, which saw Michigan target Keisean Lucier-South receive a nice boost and a fifth star to his name. Currently, Lucier-South is listed at outside linebacker (originally a defensive end), and hasn't yet played a game at that position.

UCLA and Michigan are considered front-runners for Lucier-South.

In an unsurpring move, Michigan does not make the cut for the AP top 25 poll that was released today. Florida State (1) and Alabama (2) top the list.

The B1G is well represented in the top 10. With Ohio State (5) and Michigan State (8) appearing on the poll.

Michigan Football Recruiting: '16 4-star DB Lavert Hill visiting UM for night scrimmage, per report


According to 247Sports' Steve Lorenz, 2016 4-star DB Lavert Hill is visiting Michigan Saturday for the scrimmage at Michigan Stadium under the lights.

Hill holds a Michigan offer and is ranked sixth in the state according to 247Sports Composite ratings. Hill's brother, Delano, currently plays for Michigan.

According to a report from Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman, Notre Dame is facing a potential academic fraud situation that has been investigated this summer. It is also reported that four players have been dismissed from the program, but no names have been officially announced as of right now.

However, four players were missing from Notre Dame practice.

Michigan plays Notre Dame in South Bend under the lights on Sept. 6th.

Michigan Basketball Recruiting: '16 4-star PG Cassius Winston visited UM Tuesday, per report


Per Scout's Sam Webb, University of Detroit Jesuit '16 4-star PG Cassius Winston visited Michigan on Tuesday.

Winston is ranked number two in the state and the sixth-ranked PG in the country.

According to Rivals' Michael Spath, Brady Hoke announced his potential starting offensive line "if the season were to start today." It appears that Mason Cole, a true freshman who had a solid spring, will start at the left tackle position. Just the sixth true freshman in Michigan history to start a game on the offensive line.

"I think the development (with what) that unit has done has been real positive," Hoke said. "A guy like Ben Braden from Rockford, right now, he’s our right tackle. And I’d expect him to be our right tackle on the (Aug. 30 against Appalachian State).

According to 247Sports' Steve Lorenz, 2015 DL and Michigan target Darian Roseboro scored a 60-yard rushing touchdown in a scrimmage today. He weighs 285 pounds.

Michigan Basketball: UM to play in three ESPN Super Tuesday events


Michigan has announced that it will play in three ESPN Super Tuesday events this upcoming season.

Michigan will play at Ohio State on Jan. 13 at 7 pm, Nebraska at home on Jan. 27 at 7 pm and Michigan State at home on Feb. 17 at 9 pm.

Michigan was 2-0 in Super Tuesday games last season.
