Recap: West Virginia vs. Iowa

Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - John Flowers turned in 14 points and eight rebounds to guide the West Virginia Mountaineers in an 87-68 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in the semifinal round of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena.
Joe Mazzulla and Alex Ruoff each scored 13 points for WVU (4-0), which will clash with Kentucky in the finals on Saturday. De'Sean Butler posted 12 points in the win and Darryl Bryant and Wellington Smith chipped in 10 points apiece.
Anthony Tucker made 6-of-9 three-pointers and he finished with a game-high 24 points for Iowa (5-1). Jake Kelly added 15 points, while Jeff Peterson logged 11 points in the setback.
On the strength of a 20-0 run in the first half, the Mountaineers were able to open a 48-29 lead at the break.
Iowa, which played WVU to a 39-39 tie in the second half, committed 21 turnovers in the game compared to just 10 by its opponent.
WVU shot 55.4 percent from the field on the night and made good on 10-of-18 tries from long distance.
