Good news for the Michigan Basketball team as they get ready to face Michigan State. While I feel bad on a personal that the talented MSU junior is no longer with his team and apparently did something dumb enough to end his stay in East Lansing, on a partisan level it's good news for my team. Lucious scared the hell out of me when I watched him play in games this season. Real nice shot, good a draining that 10-12 footer that no one on Michigan seems capable of hitting. Maybe he wasn't a star, but he was a good, veteran player for the Spartans and his absence will hurt as the season goes on. At least on the hardwood.

Dylan at UMHoops has been sitting in on practice and came away very impressed with the stable of freshman and sophomores who will be playing for the Wolverines this year. Don't get your hopes up yet folks, this is a really young and inexperienced team. But there seem to be positive signs, leadership and development out of just about everybody. The one thing I really hope is that Stu Douglass finally starts to regain his touch. Sounds like his shooting touch is still a little off right now. On the plus side Darius Morris sounds like the real deal.
