Damn. Harris really needed another year in school. According to the Detroit News Manny Harris will declare for the 2010 NBA Draft. I'm not really sold that this is a good decision for the kid. Harris' mid range game desperately needed to develop and his decision making really seemed to take a step back this season. According to the scouting reports I've seen, Harris could go anywhere from the mid second round to undrafted. Still, undeniably, he's a pro-level athlete and I wish him every success at the next level.
But it's really too bad for the team. Harris would've been a proven scorer for Michigan next season, and now John Beilein's going to have to dig even deeper in his limited bench to find scoring. Going to be a rough year next year if this turns out to be true. FWIW, I think it's valid.
