As a huge Turco fan and a huge Chicago Blackhawks fan, this is just awesome, awesome news. Turco reportedly took a low, low, low, low offer to sign with the Hawks (around $1.3 million). That amount was either half or less than half what the arbitrator awarded Antti Niemi. Signing with the Hawks probably gives Turco his best chance to win a Stanley Cup ring as a starter. Dallas had some great teams, but Turco's stingy GAA and 10 years in the league mean the Hawks got a steal and Turco got a loaded team with a repeat on their mind. Congrats Marty, and Go Blue!
