Welcome to the new Maize n Brew.
Maize n Brew is devoted to the University of Michigan in all of its athletic endeavors. Since you're here, I encourage you to bookmark the new site so you can visit as often as possible.
For those of you joining me here from my old site, nothing's changed. I'll still be the hopeless optimist I always am with the football team and the same shameless cranky old bastard with the basketball team.
For those of you visiting for the first time you'll quickly notice that I try not to take myself to seriously. This is, after all, a fan site. And as a fan I write like one. I promise to try to concentrate on the things that make this little hobby we call fandom entertaining, rather than depressing. As you can probably guess from the title, Maize n Brew focuses not only on college sports but also on the purely entertaining aspects of being a fan that don't necessarily involve the game. Not just the plays, but also the tailgating that gave you that monster hangover halfway through the third quarter.
As for what to expect in terms of analysis, I'm a homer in the truest sense of the word. However, I try to keep the outward venom to a minimum and I try my hardest to be objective. I like to take things seriously, but I refuse to take myself that way. If I slip up, please let me know. Stick around and you'll get analysis, toilet humor, game plans, and random Greek metaphors all in the same paragraph. I'll try to keep you up to date on the best stuff in the blogosphere and the most important information available on Michigan athletics and recruiting.
One of the biggest reasons for making the switch to SportsBlogs Nation was network's emphasis on involving its readers. So comment at length, post diaries, and email me. I'm looking forward to hearing from you as much as I'm looking forward to writing on this new site.
For those of you who came here from my old site, thank you for joining me here at SportsBlogs Nation. For those of you joining me here for the first time, thank you for coming.
Thanks for stopping by. Regular posting will begin on Monday.
