Last week's ballot

Please note the draft-like nature of this ballot, and place any comments or suggestions in the comments section.  The final ballot is due tomorrow.

Top 5

The top 4 stand pat.  I was tempted to, and still may, put Alabama in the 2 slot after toying with VT for 3 quarters before putting their foot on the throttle.  Any thoughts on this?

I am loathe to put Ohio State at the 5 slot, but they still won, and the issue will resolve itself after they play USC this Saturday.  Win, and they get bumped into the secure regions of the top-5.  Lose, and they'll drop but not precipitously as this blog rewards tough scheduling.

Big Movers

Oklahoma State jumps a remarkable 6 spots after dismantling Georgia and proving that Dez Bryant might be the best play maker in the country.  After Oklahoma (down 5 spots, but not out of it yet) lost Bradford for an undisclosed amount of time, OK State became the best team in the state. SPEAKING OF WHICH does anyone see this Bradford situation playing out like 2007 Henne?  I do.

Virginia Tech drops 9 spots, which is probably a bit harsh, but then I think the ACC is just really weak this year.  I will probably switch them with Georgia (down 1) for the final ballot.

BYU wasn't ranked in my preseason poll.  My bad.  I've put them with the glob of mid majors in the mid teens.  I think they're win had more to do with Bradford's injury than them being true BCS busters, and if a mid-major is to go to a BCS bowl, my money is still on Boise State.

Iowa drops because they were over rated in my initial poll and, well, obvs.

Again, comment away, the final submission goes out tomorrow.
