I've checked my RSS. I've looked around the interwebz. There's nothing worth talking about. With the exception of Michigan's 18-4 romp over Iowa in its first game of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament, I think we've all had enough of this week. Fortunately, it's Friday. And that means it's time to start talking beer. Good beer. American beer. As it is Memorial Day weekend, let's find a good American lager that goes down smooth on a sunny summer afternoon as we grill out and give thanks for the freedoms so many have given so much to provide for us.
Along those lines we're picking something light, not to heavy on the alochol, and something you can simply enjoy without weighing you down with too much sugar or heft.
You Friday Drinking Instructions: The Half Acre Brewery's Gossamer Golden Ale
You can find this tasty Golden Ale, or perhaps more appropriately described as an American Blonde Ale, in 16 oz cans or on tap. If you're outside of the Chicago area, you're probably stuck with pouring it out of a bottle or can. It's tasty. It goes down easily. It's a light feeling beer but without a loss of taste. You'll find it's a perfect compliment to sitting in the sun and relaxing with your friends and/or family. It may be hard to find, but it's worth it.
So go forth, my minions, and imbibe. As always, report back when you've had your fill.
