Henry Poggi Commits to Michigan

Well, that didn't take long.

Just two days after Maurice Hurst Jr. became Michigan's second defensive lineman and 19th commit overall in the 2013 class, four-star DT Henry Poggi out of Maryland has pleged to be the third and 20th, respectively.

Poggi is a four-star recruit to all four services with Rivals.com the most high on him (52nd overall, #2 DT) and ESPN the most bearish (#23 DT). Both Scout and Rivals agree that Poggi is 6'4, 260 lbs, with 247 crediting him with an extra ten pounds, and ESPN hilariously docking him an inch and 15 lbs. He is coming in as a 3-tech defensive tackle and should put a cap on Michigan's recruitment of interior defensive linemen in the 2013 class.

As for what type of player Michigan is getting, it is telling that Poggi's other choice was Alabama and that he had offers from Florida, Iowa, MSU, OSU, PSU, Notre Dame, Stanford, Tennessee, USC, and Wisconsin among others. So yeah, this kid was a hot commodity on the recruiting trail Despite this, Magnus is -- you'll never guess -- not enthused with Poggi,

DGDestroys will have more on Poggi soon. Until then, check out the New Blue post on Michigan's other 2013 defensive tackle commit, Maurice Hurst Jr.
