Saturday Open Thread: Is There a Doctor in the House?

Would you like to move on from last week's loss? Yeah, me too.

Gregory Shamus

It's that time for all of us to forget about last week and move on to the game right in front of us:

Michigan vs. Indiana

Ann Arbor, MI

3:30 PM | BTN

Okay, I'm going to backtrack a little bit. Before you move on to today's game, check out the series that SpaceCoyote did as he analyzed the PSU game from a coach's point of view. It's fantastic, and it made me question some of my thoughts about the game. I have to admit that it's hard to reconcile how my heart feels and what SC is saying our heads should be telling us, but these are a must read. And, he's a great follow on Twitter as well @SpaceCoyoteBDS; check him out. Here's the series: Quarter 1, Quarter 2, Quarter 3, Quarter 4, OT.

Let's move on to Indiana. As usual, Anthony tells us What We Need to See against the Hoosiers. Read Zach's preview of today's game here, and then check out what Crimson Quarry has to say. I really dig Hollywood Hokester's This Gameday in History posts; I highly recommend them. Too bad they come only once a week. You can read everything associated with today's game at the story stream.

Elsewhere, you can read more game previews over at Touch the Banner and MGoBlog. I can't recommend Seth's Dear Diary enough, but only because there's a link to a great (and I mean great) show called Blackadder, starring comic genius Rowan Atkinson. If you've never seen it before, check it out on Netflix.

There aren't any early games of note, which is a good thing since I may have pneumonia and could use the rest; I think one of my lungs fell out yesterday, and I should probably see a doctor. There's only one game between two ranked opponents in the early lineup, and it's #22 Florida at #14 Missouri; meh. That could be the perfect time to head to the hospital.

The afternoon games don't really matter, right? You'll be watching Michigan, so you won't really care about what else is going on. But, if things get too ugly (for Indiana, of course), I suppose you could check out UCLA at Stanford at 3:30 on ABC/ESPN2.

In primetime, the headliner is Florida State at Clemson at 8:00 on ABC. FSU's QB, Jameis Winston, is darn good, but Death Valley is going to be a tough place for him to succeed. Wisconsin is at Illinois on BTN at 8:00 PM, but I don't recommend watching it, if for no other reason than seeing an effective running game is depressing.

Alright, that's about it. Given my condition, I don't know how much I'll be participating in today's threads, so most of the work will be left to you; make 'em good today. Mind the guidelines and, as always, Go Blue!

Today's tune comes from another Minneapolis band. This time, from my all-time #1 favorite band, Trip Shakespeare:
