Staff visiting prospect during bye week
The staff will see more than just Da'Shawn Hand and Jashon Cornell today. Some of the prospects receiving visits include WR Juval Mollette, QB Jack Beneventi, OLB Tanner Muse, DT Darian Roseboro, QB Anthony Ratliff, WR Carl Tucker and DE Clelin Ferrell, among others.
It's also interesting to note that Michigan stopped in on four-star 2014 ATH Kalen Ballage. Michigan wants him as a running back, but I don't see them landing him. In my opinion, the stop was just something to keep the door open.
Bye week visits aren't critical, but don't overlook their importance. Coaches actually get to see some players in action on the field, and others get the chance to speak with prospects' high school coaches in person, giving them some insight on whether or not they'd like to continue pursuing the kid. Any chance to put the block 'M' inside the mind of a coach or prospect is also important.
Mone signs early enrollment papers
Many recruiting followers wondered if Michigan commitment Bryan Mone would enroll early or not. He has indeed faxed in his papers for early enrollment, joining the original six from last week. Mone might be the second most important early enrollee, behind only Drake Harris. Many believe that Mone is an underrated interior prospect destined to start at Michigan for multiple years.
Take a second and imagine a starting defensive line of Mone, Hand, Cornell and some other lucky fourth member. I'm freaking out, man.
Hey you, DGDestroys...You stop that right this instant
Our very own DGDestroys takes us down a horrific path of Michigan's ex-recruits who went on to destroy the world elsewhere:

I hear Sammy Watkins and Laquon Treadwell are decent football players, too.
My apologies. The pain ends here.
Michigan offers four-star CB John Reid
Michigan offered four-star corner John Reid out of St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Recognize that school name? That's because Michigan commitment Jon Runyan Jr. starts on the offensive line for that same team. Runyan is actively recruiting Reid to Michigan, but Penn State, Ohio State and others could get involved.
Check the 2015 Recruiting Board to see who else is on Michigan's radar at corner.
General notes and multimedia items
Offensive guard commitment Mason Cole has mid-season highlights up on Hudl. His team has Cass Tech amounts of talent. You can also see Jared Wangler's highlights here.
In case you want even more on Da'Shawn Hand, here he is talking to children about making sound decisions in life:
Elite talent? Check. Academic potential? Check. Works in the weight room and in the community? Check and check.
Tom VH of ESPN reports a little something interesting:
I was amazed, every Big Ten QB commit I spoke with is working, or will be working with, a separate QB coach: http://t.co/COnsvUQQu6

Wilton Speight included. Hopefully this helps the conference pass the ball a bit better down the line.
