Twitter Roundup: College Football Week 10 Preview

Michigan vs. Michigan State costs a lot of $$$, Halloween Costumes, Anchorman 2, Justin Verlander's sweet new ride and Minka Kelly

Rick Osentoski-US PRESSWIRE

It's here. Hate week. Bragging rights for the Great Lake state are on the line as Michigan and Michigan State face off in the latest chapter of their rivalry.

MSU hates UofM because they are and always will be their number one rival. Michigan may have a bigger rival in a team from Ohio but that doesn't mean that the fight for the Paul Bunyan trophy doesn't mean anything to them.

Here's some news to the folks from East Lansing: Michigan hates Michigan State.

Folks from Ann Arbor like to play up the whole "big brother versus little brother," mentality because they think it eats away at the Spartans.

Truth is, it's about as effective as someone from East Lansing saying "Appalachian State."

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

This rivalry used to be fun. It used to be about the game itself on the field. Now, it's become a week of hatred where there is no respect on either side and the trolling is at an all-time high.

The only thing I'm really looking forward to these days is Ron Burgundy.

Michigan State will no longer say the word Michigan because they don't like it.

Seriously?

Fitzgerald Touissant is talking up the "big brother / little brother," aspect of the rivalry.

Seriously?

Rivalries should be built on a mutual amount of hatred and respect. You can hate the folks from East Lansing all you want and vice versa, but would it hurt anyone to show a little bit of class these days?

Maybe it's asking too much to have the trash talking stay on the comedic sides of things. It is what it is. You are either Green or Blue when it comes to this rivalry.

#21 MICHIGAN @ #22 MICHIGAN STATE 3:30 P.M. EST. TV - ABC

Now that the ranting is out of the way, let's focus on the game at hand. A match-up between two top 25 teams that somehow only have 1 loss on each side.

Michigan was off last week and has had two weeks to focus on the Spartans. They know the tough task at hand that comes in traveling to East Lansing.

The Spartans are built on a foundation of strong defense. That comes from their coach, Mark Dantonio, and this season could be the best yet.

Michigan will have to hope to limit their turnovers, especially in a hostile environment. That begins and ends with QB1, Devin Gardner.

Gardner's play hasn't always been pretty, to say the least. If you want to talk about things that are pretty, how about Justin Verlander's new ride?

As long as we are talking about pretty things, you may have missed 'Friday Night Lights' sensation Minka Kelly the other day.

Don't worry, we've got the pictures for you.

If you want to get personal with Minka Kelly, take a look at this picture.

Yes, she is looking at you. Let that sink in for a minute.

MONEY. MONEY. MONEY.

If you are thinking of traveling up to East Lansing for the game, you better pack your wallet pretty big for some tickets.

Let's just hope that things can be kept somewhat civil.

WEEK 10 SEE-IT-TO-BELIEVE-IT

ESPN's 'College Gameday' is headed down to Florida this week for a top ten game.

#18 OKLAHOMA STATE @ #15 TEXAS TECH 7:00 P.M. EST. TV - FOX

Texas Tech was flying high one week ago. A top ten ranking and some national love was starting to pour in for the Red Raiders.

After a tough loss on the road at Oklahoma last week, Texas Tech will look to get things back on track. There is still a lot to play for in 2013 for Texas Tech, including a conference championship.

Oklahoma State isn't as good as it has been in previous season's but it is still a top 25 team and one that is always a threat to put point on the board.

Texas Tech can look to creep back into the top 25 with a victory here.

#7 MIAMI @ #3 FLORIDA STATE 8:00 P.M. EST. TV - ABC

This is the game of the week for anyone outside of the state of Michigan.

The Seminoles are one of the hottest teams in the country right now. QB Jameis Winston is one of the top candidates for the 2013 Heisman trophy and he has Florida State in the thick of the BCS national championship conversation.

Florida State jumped by to #2 after their destruction at Clemson a couple of weeks ago. The Oregon Ducks had an impressive victory last week against UCLA, so the Ducks and Seminoles will continue to battle in the rankings.

This is a huge game for both teams as they both have ACC championship dreams and bigger goals in the BCS bowl picture.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
